Lamb Canyon, Beaumont, CA.[/caption] ■ Staff Reports / The Valley Chronicle A drainage project through Lamb Canyon between Beaumont and San Jacinto will limit weekday traffic on Highway 79 to one direction. The $1.5 million project is scheduled for completion in late May. Traffic will merge down to one lane and be directed to the other side of the highway, with crossovers just south of Gilman Springs Road Bridge to County Landfill Road. Caltrans said the work will install drainage inlets from First Street in Beaumont to Gilman Springs Road to divert water from the highway and reduce hydroplaning.
