The new United Family Pharmacy building at 1221 S. San Jacinto Ave., San Jacinto, was severely damaged Nov. 11 when a driver plowed into the building and fled the scene. The driver later was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, but it took months for business owner Steve DiMemmo to have the damage to his pharmacy business repaired, not to mention recapture the lost business and customers that missed coming in during the building’s reconstruction. Today, the business is open and up and running again, albeit with morning-only hours from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday-Friday. (Note the steel pylons in front to prevent the unlikely reoccurrence.) Customers who need to fill prescriptions during the afternoon are asked to visit DiMemmo’s Stetson Family Pharmacy, 475 W. Stetson Ave., Suite R, Hemet, or call 951-765-2525. Chronicle News Staff.
