On 05/18/21 at about 5:58 pm, our Public Safety Dispatch Center began receiving calls of a fight between a large group of females in the 1200 block of Valencia Avenue. While responding to the scene, our dispatch center received additional calls of gunfire and possible gunshot victims.
Upon the officer’s arrival, they located several adults suffering from gunshot wounds. Hemet Valley Hospital contacted our dispatch center as well to advise them that they had two more gunshot victims just arrive at the hospital. At this time it is unknown if they drove themselves or were dropped off there. In total there are five victims suffering significant injuries, all from gunshot wounds. One of the five victims was transported by helicopter for their injury. Detectives are on scene and have taken over the investigation. At the time of this release, the scene is still active. If and when arrests are made, additional information will be released.
