The Valley Chronicle - Traffic crash on state route 74 results in fatality

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Beaumont Area is investigating a traffic crash resulting in a fatality. On October 3, 2026, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the CHP responded to a solo vehicle traffic crash on State Route 74, near mile post marker 52.1.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Beaumont Area is investigating a traffic crash resulting in a fatality. On October 3, 2026, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the CHP responded to a solo vehicle traffic crash on State Route 74, near mile post marker 52.1.

It is currently unknown if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the CHP Beaumont Area office. Please contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau for the identity of the deceased party.
